Ballet with Luis BaldassarreClass Objective The objective is to discover all of the resources available to unravel the technique of classic dance in a manner less traumatic psychologically as well as physically. From the psychological standpoint, the goal is to limit the frustrations that hinder the dancer. From the physical standpoint, the goal is to prevent injuries that often shorten the future of a dancer. The work is demanding and requires time, consistency, and concentration. It is a discipline, however, rewarded by a beautifully expressive dance that offers freedom of movement and creativity to its student. Methodology Much attention is placed in recognizing the muscles that are employed in the dance, this is realized through stretching and rotation exercises. The student will learn how to reach concrete objectives such as: balance, turns, and harmonic jumps. These objectives will be met by focusing on correct positioning of the muscular structure and rotation.Luis Baldassarre Luis is an acomplished dancer with training in ballet, contemporary, flamenco, and tango.
