Closing and Maipo


DNI has some good news and some bad news. First the bad:

DNI will be closed Monday, the 16th of August for a National Holiday which means you will not be able to enjoy all the wonderful group and private classes that we provide each and every day to you fine students.

And now the good news! CIA, the DNI dance company, will be performing the day after, Tuesday the 17th of August, in the beautiful Maipo Theater. Tickets are now available at reduced prices in the DNI reception.

TTC with Dana


TTC, with Dana Frigoli, is at the new time of 16 hs. This specialized technique class is designed to help every level of dancer improve by investigating the forces produced by the moving body.

La Coleccion


"La Coleccion - los tangos de una vida" debuted in Parana, Argentina November 2007. DNI Compania performed in the Florianoplois Festival February 25th to March 1st.

Seminar with Laura Falcoff

On Friday July 30th DNI will host a seminar given by Laura Falcoff.

The seminar is entitled "Improvising to Compose" and will focus on the use of improvisation to create short choreographies. There will be exercises geared toward mixing tango elements -- the embrace, the contact, leading/following, sequences -- spatial and musical elements. The seminar will also focus on the dancers interpretative and narrative abilities. The work will be en couples, trios and quartets.

Pablo Villarraza and Dana Frigoli in Buenos Aires for 2010
Hola amigos!!!!

Together, Pablo and I, have decided to take a break from our international touring schedule for this upcoming year. This decision comes from our necessity and desire to continue to grow as teachers and artists, as well as to continue to evolve as people and find new avenues of creation.

We will take this year to nurture our school, DNI Tango, which in turn will nurture us. In this year we will return to our roots-- to our soil!!

When we travel it will be with the Compania DNI presenting our newest show - - aRealidades.

We thank all of those who have supported us these many years and we await the next time we meet again.

Yoga with Stella Dettoni

The 18th, 20th, 23rd, and 25th of August the group yoga classes will be given by Stella Dettoni.

Stella is yoga maestro with more than 20 years of experience and co-creator of the technique taught in the yoga classes given in the studio throughout the week.
